OPIN Systems' Selects OptiStorm® and OptiServer® by KOM Networks to Enhance its Reveal® Archive and Retrieval Software

OPIN Systems – the leading provider of Web-based enterprise reporting systems – announced today a partnership agreement with KOM Networks, in which the company will distribute KOM's OptiStorm® / OptiServer® software in conjunction with O'Pin Systems' REVEAL Automated Archive and Retrieval optional software module. REVEAL Automated Archive and Retrieval is an optional module for the REVEAL enterprise reporting system, which combines advanced automated report storage, bursting, and distribution with enterprise portal features. The system collects print files from any enterprise host system that creates reports and automatically indexes, catalogs, distributes and warehouses reports according to security rules established by the administrator. Users can view, search, print and download reports that are tailored to their precise needs, using any standard Web browser the instant the reports are available. PinPoint security rules protect access to reports from inside or outside the firewall, ensuring that users see only the exact information they are authorized to see.

REVEAL's Automated Archive and Retrieval module helps organizations meet corporate and legal storage requirements without costly, cumbersome microfiche. After a report generation exceeds its predetermined online existence, it's automatically sent to off-line or near-line storage. Users may still retrieve archived reports as needed without additional effort. Regardless of where the report resides, all of its generations appear in the user's directory.
