KOM Software announces support for OPEN VMS Systems

KOM Software is pleased to announce that the OptiFile® II and OptiServer® II products are now available for Open VMS™ version 6.1 based systems from Digital Equipment. The computer may use either the 32 bit VAX™ processor or the 64 bit AXP™ RISC processor ("alpha").

OptiFile® II provides integration support for all popular rewritable, WORM and multi-function optical disk drives currently available. Each disk appears to the operating system to be a magnetic disk drive, regardless of the type of media used.

OptiServer® II provides the same level of integration for all popular 5.25", 12", and 14" optical jukeboxes. Each optical volume within the jukebox appears to the operating system to be a logically mounted magnetic disk drive.
