KOM Software announces the Beta release of OptiFile and OptiServer for Digital's Alpha AXP Systems

KOM Software, Inc., is pleased to announce that their OptiFile® and OptiServer® products have been ported to Digital's ALPHA AXP systems running Open VMS.

OptiFile® and OptiServer® provide device driver-level control of optical drives and jukeboxes. Support is available for most of the popular drives and jukeboxes including WORM, erasable and multifunction devices.

The ALPHA port preserves all the important characteristics of OptiFile® and OptiServer®: Magnetic disk emulation for WORM, and transparency of platter movements within jukeboxes.

OptiFile® and OptiServer® are also available for RISC/Ultrix workstations and AXP/OSF-1 systems from Digital Equipment, SPARCstation™ and SPACRserver™ systems from Sun Microsystems running Solaris or SunOS.

OptiFile® and OptiServer® are also available for Q-bus, UNIBUS, and BI bus VAX™ systems, as well as the VAXstation™ 3100, 3520 and 3540 and MicroVAX™ 3100 systems.
