KOMpliance & OnBase FAQs

What is involved in deploying KOMpliance with OnBase?

There are three simple steps to deploy KOMpliance with OnBase:

  • Step 1 – Simply license the OnBase “Storage Integration for KOMpliance” module from Hyland.
  • Step 2 – Deploy KOMpliance on your network and create a Secure Volume. It’s a Windows based server (physical or virtual machine). Just add it to the domain & create shares.
  • Step 3 – Define the diskgroup(s) in OnBase that point to the KOMpliance Volume(s).

Done...that’s it!

You can simply start using the diskgroups as you would any other OnBase diskgroup. You can create other diskgroups on KOMpliance as required. If you already have other diskgroups with existing documents, you can simply either migrate the documents within OnBase or create a copy 2 and force promote.

Just remember, the OnBase integration for KOMpliance is supported across all configurations. You do not have to change any existing workflow or processes. This support works with any existing customization and across all OnBase clients thick, thin and DDS.
